Taxi drivers from south arrested: They illegally transported migrants and charged them 10 times higher fares

The Public Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime ordered members of SPBOK, together with police officers from Nis and Vranje to arrest six persons suspected of facilitating illegal transit through the Republic of Serbia of 77 illegal migrants in the period from September 12, 2025 to February 26.

This criminal group operated by illegally transporting migrants in a number of taxis from Nis to Belgrade and from Presevo to Belgrade, from where they sought to illegally travel to the countries of the European Union.
